November 9, 2008 | Category: Maria Gudelis

Niche marketing is probably the most powerful tool in a business owner’s toolkit. Niche marketing is the “targeting, communicating with, selling, and obtaining feedback” (The Business Owner’s ToolKit) from the users of your product.

Marketers know that 20% of buyers consume 80% of the same products. Your goal as a business owner is to identify who are included in that 20% and find others who are like them. The heaviest users of your product are your niche market that, which you should attempt to dominates.

So, how do you find your niche market? Well, first, it is important that you are familiar with it. For most people, they choose a niche they are interested in, a topic where they can say something useful and important.

You will also need to find the most competitive keywords related to your chosen niche. For this you can use the Google AdWords Keyword Tool or Google Trends to track the popularity of certain search terms to find out whether they are trending up or down. It is important to choose a niche where you can expect future growth.

Of course, you will also need to consider your competition, their monetization streams and topics posted.

Positive thinking and the Enlightened Wealth Institute€“ truth or myth?

October 20, 2008 | Category: Enlightened Wealth Institute Lessons

Lets be honest, when someone talks of the power of positive thinking, we are likely to dismiss it as mumbo jumbo. There are a number of reasons why we shouldn’t, however, as organisations such as the Enlightened Wealth Institute are finding that more and more people want to know how to harness this hidden talent.

How does it work? Well, it’s quite simple €“ we look carefully at ourselves and work out what it is that we do well, and why it is that those things we don’t do well are so hard. Finding the root is important as, once we know where to look, we can start working on that area of our personality and strengthen weaknesses in that area.

Positive thinking can help in health terms €“ it has been shown that those who ‘fight’ illnesses can recover more quickly €“ and in general terms, as we enjoy a happier and less stressful life, but in business terms the power of positive thinking comes into its own.

Courses run by the Enlightened Wealth Institute are designed to help people who need to enhance their confidence in order to get more out of life, and there are many books and ebooks that can help you on the way to unleashing your positive side.

Those that live a life that is enhanced by positive thinking are able to make decisions in a better light, and to take major leaps without being afraid of doing the wrong thing €“ very important assets in the world of business.

Whether you train to harness the power of positive thinking via a book or an ebook, or by an organisation such as the Enlightened Wealth Institute, the advantages of utilising positive thought will enhance you life in both health and business.

Series II – Lessons learned from the Enlightened Wealth Institute

On to lesson II of what I learned from the enlightened wealth institute.

2. The Power of YOUR Mindset – When it comes to being an entrepreneur, it can be very daunting to face your F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) and I vividly remember Karen Nelson Bell sitting down with me on a personal one-to-one discussion in 2003 where she laid it out plain and simple that you MUST visualize your future as today and even write a letter to Robert Allen or your loved ones as if it was three years out and here is the exercise:

  • Write the letter in your positive, “I’ve achieved all my dreams possible”, state of mind and invoke ALL five senses in your letter. For example, describe the smooth grip of your leather steering wheel on your red convertible corvette as the wind brushes your hair and the sun caresses your skin as you roar down the pacific coast highway toward your 5,000 square foot home overlooking Laguna Beach”
