From what I've seen, read and heard, Maria, your philosophies align with those of Robert and The Donald. You live them and teach them. And, I totally agree that being rich is all about mindset. What I don't know is… how does one GET the right mindset? You can't go out and buy one…or adopt one… or steal one… or build one… or throw a coin in a fountain and wish for one!!!!! ;o}
So, how does a person get one?I

Maria,
Back in the day when I was a little girl, I knew that i would be a millionaire. No doubt about it. When I saw that TV show, "the Millionaire" it confirmed it. (The Millionaire was a television drama anthology series that aired on CBS from January 19, 1955 to June 8, 1960).
I know that I am probably dating myself but it is what it is. I have been an millionaire and will be one once again. My mind is set. And hanging with you, Maria, more is a plus. Thank you for being my muse.

That indeed is the ‘fountain of youth’ so to day question…
or should I say Suzette – the ‘fountain of wealth’! quantum wealth!
Your question: “What I don’t know is… how does one GET the right mindset? You can’t go out and buy one…or adopt one… or steal one… or build one… or throw a coin in a fountain and wish for one!!!!!
So, how does a person get one?”
It’s like a muscle you have to train and work on and as a a muscle and a cellular level has “Muscle Memory” – you have to work on that mindset….
The brain and your body is the most powerful computer in the world – neurons firing off at unimaginable levels every second…
WE have to
1. Surround ourselves with ‘mindset’ enablers – listen to for example Success magazine – the free CDs they include, read success stories of other so your belief system is trained to ‘I can do it’…become a voracious ‘feed your brain’ type of person – learning from others that have both failed and succeeded (yes – I can’t think of ANY wealth person that hasn’t also fallen rock hard bottom on stuff – I myself have made millions, lost millions, admittedly made mistakes, had a CFO who embezzled millions and took one of my most successful companies down affecting my reputation and the experience with lawyers, judges and the U.S. legal system…well – let’s just say it is far better to ‘move on ‘ and repeat your success than blow thru $100′s of thousands of legal fees to wait years and years for ‘maybe some justice…as Bruce Wayne’s father told his son in the Batman movie:
Bruce – why do we fall?
So we can learn how to get back up.
2. Ditch any negative enablers – any friends or social network that keeps your talent hidden in yourself – there are plenty as society wants you to ‘be like them’ and not be absolutely rich – just look at how ‘they’ term it since you were a kid ‘filthy rich’ – why is it called ‘filthy’ for goodness sake, you can donate to charity, employ others, help local economies and global economies when your down right RICH! so you have to look at your programming and seriously ‘reprogram your unwealthy mind’ from what society has taught us. T Harv Ekers book ‘The Millionaire Mind’ is briliiant for that – Dan KEnnedy’s stufff – well KICKS you in the pants to get the right mindset as MORE MONEY is being made today!!
Heck just recently a local business in Southern ONtario got a BIG BOOST in the millions – guess what they make – Private Jets – there are RICH people being made in this economy and PHOOEY on anyone or any TV media news show that tell you (errr…program you otherwise)
- try watching less TV – heck turn the dismal news OFF
- watch on youtube Jim Rohn’s stuff – great stuff
- fire your negative energy ‘oh woe is me’ friends – seriously
- read great books – Think and Grow Rich, Anything from Michael Masterson of Agora (Ready fire aim), Dan Kennedy books, Jim Rohn, Willie Crawfords ‘git off the porch’ – oh and so many more – biographies are great too!
- and so much more – find the right mentors who motivate you – who you ‘resonate’ with – and they change over time as well – I have different mentors now then 5 years ago – in fact- I’ve outgrown my past mentors and have my own style now that doesn’t agree with ‘how they got rich’ – I like today’s (as social media allows and the Internet) the transparent a la Tina Williams Know LIke Trust factor to building your wealth!
- so always looking is the best thing.
3. Look into power mind technology – stuff like using NLP, hypnosis, binaural beats, meditation – all the GREATS meditate! Finding your core in this busy world is critical – otherwise you never chose your own road
4. Watch for lessons in movies – Chariots of Fire, and heck – even the latest Alice in Wonderland – the story is all about Alice knowing ‘who she is’ and not letting others chose for her.
5. Form your own inner circle or join one you resonate with – now be careful here to not be the one who is always teaching others and you get nothing back – it is all about giving indeed, but you also need to improve your skillsets with it too!
6. and so much more – I’ll have to think of a this more to write down what’s in my head, the roadmap (with it’s curves, zigs and zags I took)
Cheers, Maria
Thank you for sharing those tips, Maria. It sounds like getting the right mindset is all about conditioning your mind and/or subconscious by impact and repetition, limiting your exposure to negative stuff, and immersing yourself in positive stuff.
But, how much of that stuff does it take to get you there?! I've spent the better part of my adult life studying that stuff, working with that stuff, practically drowning in that stuff. And still… nuthin'.
I've read pretty well all the books you mentioned… bought and watched tons of videos… been to lots of workshops and seminars… meditated….and still… nuthin'.
So, maybe the part I'm missing is the hypnosis…and hanging with people who are already millionaires. That, and focus. I do tend to be the kind of person who is interested in so many things, that I try to do as many of them as I can. You know the old saying… if you throw enough *@#~ against the wall, some of it is going to stick. ;o)
My feeling is that life is so short… I don't want to miss a moment, or an experience, or a lesson, or an opportunity. And, there are certainly plenty of all of those to keep a person busy… distracted… but busy.
But, there are lots of millionaires who have many irons in the fire. How do they do it?
To answer my own question, perhaps they focused on one thing until they got successful with that, before adding the next thing?
Well, since I found you and Internet Marketing Consulting, I've been working towards clearing my plate of everything else, and focussing just on that (except for learning about real estate investing). And perhaps, my foray into consulting will expose me to some millionaires that I can hang with and learn from.
Maria, there are millions of us out here that have read all the books, watched all the videos, done all the affirmations, watched The Secret, attended the seminars and workshops, studied with gurus, practiced the meditations, passed out in sweat lodges, got poked with acupuncture needles…. and still… we struggle with creating affluence!
So, if you have a method that actually works… you could be a multi-multi-MULTI- millionaire!!!
And, I would be first in line. =o)

The economy is suffering more than most know and so it is wise to listen to what this guy, Mike Maloney, talks about.
Hey Maria,
Gotta get back to studying now. You have a great day!
Just wanted to thank you for sharing, very inspiring. Never been a big fan of Trump myself, but still admire his success. I really like Robert Kiyosaki, it seems like inspiration just flows from him! Of course you are still my favorite thought
Wow. They sure get around. If that's what they are showing on TV, then I would probably start watching again, but I know that most of the shows are "downers".
Many good points, "Rich is a state of mind" and when it is backed with a plan of action (from mentors like yourself, who are actually in the trenches), then the limits are endless. The government will not save us. They just need to get out of the way.
Thanks for the inspiration Maria.

You bet Steven – love your quote:
One of the most interesting things about the video was the interview with the 11 year old boy. If he keeps this mindset without society beating him over the head about gaining wealth through a job, he will be a great entrepreneur. The chart also was eye opening on discovering your mindset. Employee, Business, Smart, Investor, to become rich.

How the young mind is not ‘programmed ‘ yet for poorness!!!
Fantastic!
