Why the heck am I looking at 1909 newspaper ads?

One reason – the best marketing and ad copy tactics survive all times. Instead of blowing thousands on an ‘ad copy course’ – learn from the masters of the past.

Check out old archived newspapers (online ofcourse as you know I love technology and the internet) and watch the ‘Call To Action‘ in these posts. Absolutely Brilliant! You can translate this ad to any industry, any product and follow the same profit-pulling tactics of a great ad!

..now notice some of the key success tactics of this ad:

  1. 30 Day Free Trial Coupon - Hmmm….notice what catches your credit card lately? How about those ‘Free 7 day Trial Offers’ you see…or 30 days or..?? Yup – it works no matter what century we are in.
  2. For Only $375 Terms $10 Monthly – Hmmm… notice how this ad copy resembles the car industry ads? Very brilliant as well and you can effortlessly translate this to your real estate ad…how about “For Only $995 Monthly”?

Hope you enjoyed this blog post, Maria Gudelis
