I thought it sweet to send
this email about a story that will give you a
nice laugh of the day…

…and yet give you a lesson about marketing consulting.

You see, one of my students, just like you perhaps…

Was really seriously frightened to make a ‘workshop’
presentation to a whole bunch of business owners.

She did everything you may very well know by now:

1. Used her zone of influence to broadcast out her services
2. Called and emailed various ‘meeting’ or ‘networking’ leaders
3. Followed up with anyone that expressed interest.

So, OMG, the day came when from the three actions
above created an interest from one small business development
officer who wanted to have her present to their business owner
network.

Next thing you know, that biz dev person for f.ree:

1. Advertised for her about the social media workshop
2. Packed the workshop for her with over 25 business owners
3. Wow – even provided the space to her, a very professional
conference room

She called me and when OMG, Maria can you help?  I only
expected like, 8 or so businesses to present to…not 25!

OK, so she dragged me off the lazy beach day I was having
to spend a few hours with her that evening simply ‘having
fun’ as most of you know, it is a ‘kick’ to present and share
internet marketing knowledge.

Wouldn’t you know, even more than 25 showed up too!  You
will see in the video that in fact, business owners had
to sit in the corners of the room to participate!

Fast forward now she is a raving success, turning business
away and now doing a major joint venture that seriously
sets her up in a nice cozy income stream that…

the cool thing is…is her passion.

So here is what I’d like you to do now.

As you know, success leaves clues…

Just 5 minutes into the presentation, a huge

CRACK was heard in the room…

and DOWN flat on his you know what, one business owner
fell as the chair broke!

laugh of the day and..

To learn an important lesson.  It isn’t always going to
be perfect from A to Z no matter what you do…

And the lesson is simply this, taking action is what gets
you to Z, your goal.

Kara has truly achieved her consulting goal and I wouldn’t
be surprised…

…to read about her next year in 2010 on a front cover of
a business magazine.

So what I would love to see you all do right now, before
she takes it down,

Is go get her new WSO that I am a part of since heck, I’m
in the presentation too…

And write down lots of the lessons in it on how to get
clients, how to present, how to ‘not sweat the small stuff’…

… as this presentation, that was 2 hours long, returned to her
well over three grand right away and brought in a slew of
phone calls for f.ree consults, more workshops and more money!
