Canadian Cows on Twitter??

mariagudelis | May 5, 2010

Check this out!! Now Canadian Cows are tweeting!

A University in Canada has set up a project where the resident cows there Tweet about their day.

The "Teat Tweet Dairy Diary" is an art project conceived by the Critical media lab at the University of Waterloo.

Cows are robotically milked at this high-tech University farm, and end up tweeting about it to the world. The farm has been equipped to automatically send messages to Twitter after the cows are milked and fed.

Here are some of the Tweets they've been sending:

"Can't get in. My RFID transponder must be dirty. I'll give it a lick and see what happens," tweeted Montgomery Mae recently.

"Tried again. Wish I could read that robot's mind," wrote Morty Fy, after getting denied entry. "That robot still won't let me in there. What is it thinking? I'll explode!" she added five minutes later.

Oh my gosh!!!  This is too funny.  :)
I spent many a summer on a dairy farm, I can think of plenty of other tweets they could use.  ;)   I remember the old way of taking the milking machine to the cow in a stall.  My how times have changed.

Thanks for sharing this, I had a big chuckle over this.

You gotta love the former developing a relationship with his cows again through twitter. Take away the routine and they took away the LUV

What a good way to convince a prospect that s/he needs to be active on Twitter: "Everyone twitters now. Even Canadian cows twitter." LOL

Cows are more intelligent than you'd think.

I might get some SEO tips from my local herd.

Timely and Engaging!! A great example of the connections or re-connections available to everyone who jumps on social media—    I do admit I had no idea of the mechanics (or details) of the initial delivery of Milk, which I love so much!  The farmer could "Milk" his new connections beyond the bovines all the way to the bank!  Nice find, Maria!

Well, we Canadians have always had an interesting sense of humour and I live this one. I also liked hearing about a system where the cows milked themselves. Will have to connect to them on twitter.
