Who else wants to STASH their CASH in non-U.S. real estate?

Who else is concerned about where to put their hard earned money? We have an interesting dichotomy right now where foreigners are using their strong Euro, Canadian dollar, Saudi Riyal, United Arab Emirates Emirati dirham, to buy up United States real estate…and for American residents, we are wondering where we should invest as the U.S. dollar weakens, stocks plummet and real estate prices decline.
One obvious option is to pick up the real estate deals in the form of short sale real estate investing, foreclosures, and bulk real estate portfolios. This required due diligence and economic research to insure your “deal” doesn’t become a “bad deal” if the real estate purchased declines a further 10% after you have bought it!
One not so obvious choice is to ‘sprinkle your cash’ across the globe by investing in choice real estate in various countries. Think about it, having a nice ocean side condo in Ecuador, a mere 3 or so hour direct flight from Atlanta or even a shorter hop from Miami! How about a ski side chalet in a popular European resort or an up and coming ski and play area in Eastern Europe?
Oh, Of course, not forgetting the tropical Far North Queensland of Australia. Right on the Great Barrier Reef! An example is Cairns which has an international airport just ten minutes from five star resorts and the centre of town!
