You read this right, yes…a Stripper Pole!  What does that got to do with real estate?  Well, as a real estate investor I make my calls to for sale by owners and motivated sellers and the other day I called one of the ads in the newspaper, property is surrounded by foreclosed properties in a nice area of town and this property is a potential deal.

I made plans to meet the motivated seller at the home and while touring the interior of the home and entering the master bedroom…voila…a stripper pole installed on a nice stage in the master bedroom!

I pose this question to you as one of the Principles of Value in real estate is

• Increasing/Decreasing Returns - An example is upgrades on a house, will you get value (as in ‘make money’) out of an upgrades you are doing - the norm is NO - you get 20 cents on the dollar for most upgrades!  Did you know, builders today are finally ‘getting’ it and are no longer going to do ‘upgrades’ in Las Vegas new homes and instead, decrease prices to you so you can get $25,000 or more off the price!

So go for it, what do YOU THINK - is the investment of a stripper pole an increasing or decreasing return?
