Series I – Lessons learned from the Enlightened Wealth Institute

”Hey!

More than five years ago I took my first real estate investing course, the enlightened wealth institute workshop and after those 3 intense days…my first thought was “Why the heck don’t they teach this stuff in high school, college, or for goodness sakes…even MBA courses!”.

I’ve had a few years to reflect on the lessons learned and felt you could benefit by the both the successes and failures from my applying all the tactics. These tactics are not just from the enlightened wealth institute, as there are a plethora of other educational courses and books I devoured as an entrepreneur. However, since Robert Allen was my first ‘mentor’ in the field of entrepreneurship, it felt just right to discuss in the ‘virtual world’ the benefits of learning from entrepreneurs!

On to the first lesson!

  1. Surround yourself with positive, like-minded individuals! Do you know how hard it is to be the ‘only’ person in your social group who is the weird one working from home, no set schedule, boss or timecard to get stamped? Think of when you pay a sport like tennis, if you can’t play against other players at your level or better…how will you get better and use your talents to the fullest?
