One of the hardest things to accept in life is failure.

We’ve been ‘blueprinted’ since we were young, by our educational system, by society that ‘failing’ is bad. Think about it, look how children are graded in school – A is the winner, getting a C or lower, is a blow to your self-worth.

Lucky are those children surrounded by the rare mentors/influencers who can tell them that ‘It is OK to fail, the most important thing is to learn from it, and ‘get back up’.

One of my favorite lines is from the movie, Batman Returns when Bruce Wayne’s father speaks to him when he was a little boy:

There are many benefits of teleseminars but the most important one is that participants do not have to commute. You can host or take part in teleseminars from virtually anywhere — home, office or even halfway across the world. And you can generate great revenues.

Benefits of Teleseminars:

You do not have to leave your office to join a training program. Unlike traditional training courses where you had to consider travel time in the mix, you hardly have any disruption of your day. All you need to do is be right in front of your telephone or computer with fast and reliable Internet connection (with Skype or VOiP) at the scheduled time.

As mentioned earlier, you do not need to travel. Therefore, you have a lot of time at hand to complete other tasks or prepare for the teleseminar. The stress involved with traveling and reaching the venue on time is taken away.

The cost of hosting or participating in a teleseminar is extremely cost efficient compared to other methods of training or promoting a business.

Most teleseminars range from 30 – 90 minutes. This means that they are extremely focused and you can get a lot of relevant information that you can immediately put into practice.

Most teleseminars have a Q and A session. Participants can get instant solutions to certain issues that occur in a business scenario. Based on other people’s experiences, you learn which pitfalls should be avoided.
One of the major drawbacks of teleseminars is being a participant on one where the featured speaker is not engaging and uses jargon throughout the call. However, by being aware of the need to communicate in a way listeners can easily digest the information, you would be wise to add teleseminars to your marketing mix.

In my ‘How to Advertise on Craigslist’ tips one of the biggest mistakes I see people do when advertising on craigslist is not including an image. It is really important to include some sort of graphic or image as that will help separate you from the crowd.

Think about it, would you rather answer an ad that is plain ol’ text or if you see a nice image with maybe even a ‘call to action’ under the image, you’d call that first wouldn’t you?

Here are the directions in How to Advertise on Craigslist on inserting an image:

1. In the body of the ad insert with your text html code where the image is located (now don’t get scared – html code is real easy for inserting an image in craigs list

2. Here is the html code: <img src=”http://www.yourdomain..com/images/youimage.gif”>

3. Don’t have a domain? Then you can use one of the picture sharing sites – like flicr or google picassa album or many others….I highly recommend you have it on your own domain.

For instance, I have already received two calls this morning and both callers stated they have seen similar ads in craigs list but they called me simply because I had a great image and my phone number on the image! So it was different than all the other ads they saw!
