“Well, I think by now everyone has heard my story, but I wont mind sharing it again because I am actually impressed with myself! And I was shocked and thrilled to see how EASY it was to get a few clients. I would say that my first client is actually my first 3 clients, because they all happened in 2 days.

“The first one is an attorney out of LA who I have known for a while, so I called him and asked, “Hey, what do you do to market your business online?” I got a fantastic response… “Nothing. I have a website, so people should be able to find me.” Once he said that, I knew I had him. Basically, I ended up pitching to him that he needed some SEO to get on the first page of google. He agreed, and agreed to pay me $2,500 up front and $750/month ongoing! Not bad for my first attempt!

“Second attempt was an optometrist that I know in town, and asked him the same question, “What do you do to market your business online?” Same response…. “Nothing.” I pitched to him he needed some SEO as well, and he agreed to pay me $1500 up front and $500 ongoing… Not bad for one days work… 2 clients with $3,000 up front and $1,250/month ongoing.

“My third was a real estate agent I am good friends with, and I actually sent him a text message asking “Do you know any realtors who would want to be on the first page of google when someone searches for real estate in Las Vegas?” (Dumb Question right???) He responded… “No.” So I said, “ok, well, I’ll ask around then.” He sent me back another text 3 seconds later saying “what kind of question is that? ME!!!!! Can you help? I don’t even have a website!” (Ummmm… let me think… YEAH!) Because he is a good friend and I knew he has a bunch of really good connections, I told him I will do it for him for DIRT cheap under one condition… He has to bring me more business. He agreed to pay me $1000 up front, $500/month, and has already referred me to a mortgage broker who just spent $5,000 on print advertising, a title company who I know spends quite a bit on print adverts but is doing NOTHING online, and a guy who just bough a website that is not making him any money. I am confident I will get at least 2 of these clients for the big kahuna package.. I think i can get $10,000 up front out of each of them with $1500/month ongoing… I’ll keep you updated.
